Memory
This work was created using a handmade vintage cloth that once held a special place in Sofia’s home. For years, it was brought out only when guests were over, becoming a quiet witness to shared meals, conversations, and laughter. Over time, the fabric absorbed those moments, its surface marked by stains and wear until it could no longer serve its original purpose.
Rather than discard it, Sofia chose to preserve its presence through printmaking. Using black acrylic paint, she pressed the cloth onto recycled card, capturing its texture as a memory of the gatherings and good times it carried. The print transforms an object of domestic life into a lasting record of connection, hospitality, and time passing.

is it okay to say this is my favourite painting to date? well, it is.

my art in spaces
Setting up a space brings me so much joy. Whether its a personal exhibition or a shared pop up space, I love seeing how a space evolves fro empty to filled.
I have used the same works in different spaces many times and it surprises me how different the same art can look depending not he space. This makes me long for that perfect space to create and then to see how it is presented when finished, whether it be in an exhibition or on a buyer’s wall.
