Memory
I made this print using a handmade vintage cloth that has been with me for years. It was always something special, only ever brought out when guests came over. It sat quietly on the table through dinners, conversations, and laughter, becoming part of those moments without ever being the focus.
Over time, though, it started to show the signs of use - stains, marks, little traces of all the times it had been there. Eventually it felt too worn to call “nice” anymore, but I couldn’t bring myself to throw it away. Instead, I wanted to hold onto it, to keep a memory of the good times it carried.
So I turned it into a print. I covered it in black acrylic paint and pressed it onto recycled card, capturing its texture and history in a new way. For me, it’s no longer just a cloth — it’s a record of connection, hospitality, and the passing of time.
